Holiday Table Florals
The holiday season is a time for celebration, warmth, and togetherness, and what better way to enhance your festivities than with beautiful floral arrangements? Flowers add a perfect touch of welcomeness for any gathering, especially when paired with the right vessels.
We went to the flower market and picked our gorgeous assortment in a vibrant palette. We picked vintage vases and display bowls crafted by Laura Zindel, currently available for purchase in our store and online!
Watch Keri Kropp create her flower art for the holidays.
THE FLOWERS:
Roses, Sprays, Daisies, Hydrangeas, Marigolds, Amaranthus and Eucalyptus
When working with fresh flowers, you can always expect to run into some pollinating friends... come prepared, just in case. Also come armed with flower shears. These Ballerina Farms shears are the best in the game that we've found, and trust, we have run the gamut. Nothing more satisfying than a clean stem chop.
THE DISPLAY PIECES:
Vintage Italian Vases
NOW FOR THE ARRANGEMENTS...
Often times people prep the flowers before.. we work as we go and place. There is really no wrong way, so do as you see fit. Be sure to trim the stems at an angle and remove any leaves that will dip below the water line! We pre-fill our bowls and vases with water before arranging. We also recommend using floral foam! This helps keep your flowers in place and helps hold water longer. We didn't have any handy this time, but next time will be sure to stock up at the market to make life a bit easier.
First Keri focuses on the vintage vases.
We LOVED this double Hydrangea moment.. In AND On the Vases. And this Autumn ombre colored hydrangea variation we sourced is just stunning.
After placing the Hydrangeas, Keri hand picks and places her bold and poppy focal florals between the roses and daisies, then adds in with smaller blooms and eucalyptus to fill the spaces.
When shifting over to the Laura Zindel bowls, Keri took a slightly different approach. Because the bowls are wider, Keri starts with greenery and bushy florals to create structure, followed by larger blooms, placing them to create balance.
There is no right or wrong way to make your arrangements. This is simply how we made ours so Good Looking.
Happy flowering.
